ABOUT ME
I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor with over 15 years of experience. I am passionate about providing people with space to share their story, and I am always working to fine-tune my ability to fully hear and respond to that story. My ultimate goal as a counselor is to help people move toward insight, authenticity, and connectedness.
EXPERIENCE & APPROACH
My clinical experiences include outpatient counseling in a college setting, in-home crisis outreach, and serving clients on a burn intensive care unit. I have experience supervising counselors, and work as adjunct faculty in UNC Charlotte's Masters Counseling Program.
I have an eclectic approach to counseling and believe no one modality suits every client, though my tendency is to understand clients through a psychodynamic lens. I am conscientious about privilege, power, and oppression, and the critical role these forces play for all of us.
I am level two trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based treatment modality for trauma-related issues. Feel free to contact me to ask more about this method.

FEES & INSURANCE
My rate is $135 for an initial 90 minute intake session and $120 per 50 minute session. I am currently self-pay or out-of-network. I can discuss a sliding scale fee as needed. Initial phone consultation is free.
